Prayer Shawl Ministry
If you can knit or crochet, we need your talents! Four times a year, we gather all the completed shawls, lap robes, blankets, and baby blankets to bless them before distribution. These handmade items are given throughout the year to people in hospitals, newborn babies, newly baptized members, veterans, the homeless, and anyone else in need of a reminder that the church cares for them. Join us today and make a difference!
National Day of Prayer
Join us for a special walk-through prayer event on the National Day of Prayer. At Calvary, we believe in the power of prayer and the importance of lifting up our ministries and community before the Lord.
Throughout the day, you are invited to come at any time from 9:30-4:00 to move through our prayer stations, each focusing on a different ministry within Calvary. Whether you have a few minutes or an hour, this self-guided experience allows you to spend intentional time in prayer for the various aspects of our church’s mission.

Calvary Car Cruise
Every summer, we have the joy of hosting a community Car Cruise! We need enthusiastic volunteers to help with various tasks, including setting up tents, selling concessions and raffle tickets, donating gift baskets, judging the vehicles and assisting with cleanup after the event. Your support is crucial in making this community gathering a success. Sign up today and contribute to a day filled with fun, classic cars, and community spirit. Donations will be collected for Meals on Wheels.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
Vacation Bible School, or VBS, is an exciting, Bible-based adventure for your kids! Held annually during the second week of June. The theme for 2025 is True North—Trusting Jesus in a Wild World. Kids will enjoy snacks, games and experiments designed to point them to Jesus, their unmovable, unshakeable forever friend. Mark your calendars for June 9th-13th, 2025.
We offer many volunteer opportunities before, during, and after the event, and donations are always appreciated. Thank you for praying for and supporting this wonderful opportunity to minister to the families in our community. Join us for a week of fun, learning, and spiritual growth!
Christian Art Show
Are you a Christian? An artist? Or perhaps you simply appreciate fine art? You’ll love our annual Christian Art Show! Each year, we invite Christian artists from our community to submit their best works in honor of God. Entries are judged in three categories—Experienced, Amateur, and Student—with awards given accordingly. This event is a wonderful celebration of God-given talents and creativity.
We need volunteers to help set up the event, greet visitors, sell concessions, and assist with cleanup. Join us in making this uplifting showcase a success!
Concordia Week of Mission
Every August, we dedicate a week to ministering at Concordia Monroeville, serving the staff, residents, and their guests. Our activities include a car wash, a worship service, and special events like Bingo to foster fellowship. We need volunteers to help create gift baskets for the staff and to plan and participate in these meaningful events. Join us in making a positive impact in this meaning ministry.

Blackburn Center is dedicated to ending domestic violence and providing essential services to those affected. Their comprehensive support includes emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and education programs. By supporting Blackburn Center financially, we help empower survivors and contribute to creating a safer, more compassionate community. Join us in backing this vital cause and making a difference in the lives of many.
Loaves and Fishes
In collaboration with Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church, we collect donations for local families in need of emergency food supplies. You can contribute by placing your donations in the shopping cart located in the Narthex. These donations are regularly transported to the Murrysville location to support those in need. Learn more
Concordia Lutheran Ministries—Senior Care
As part of our life-affirming ministry, we strive to serve members of our community at every stage of life. We partner with Concordia Lutheran Ministries to connect with their residents and staff through special worship services and a dedicated week of service every August.
Pittsburgh Dream Center
The mission of Pittsburgh Dream Center is to meet the basic human needs of local individuals and help them discover and achieve their God-given purpose. Members of Calvary participate by preparing and serving food at their weekly meal and chapel service on Monday afternoons.
Women’s Choice Network
As part of our life-affirming ministry, we participate in the Women’s Choice Network’s baby bottle campaign each year. This organization provides cost-free support to people experiencing an unexpected or unsupported pregnancy.
